Our Space
Our Play House is located in the old White Cross School. It is a beautiful space with abundant windows that provide generous light. Its open spaces have plaster walls and lovely time-worn hardwood floors. While the space is old, it has been completely updated and is compliant with all safety codes.
We're furnishing the space in natural materials, keeping in tune with the owners’ and director’s desire to live an earth-friendly existence. Our rugs are made from cotton and wool, and all of our textiles are natural fibers. Our light-colored plaster walls are minimally decorated so that our children provide the most exciting display. Live plants provide beauty and contribute to our air quality, and they also give the children an opportunity to learn about caring for them.
Our outdoor space includes an enclosed yard with a play structure that features swings, a slide and a generous sand box. There are plenty of shovels, trucks, buckets, and sand toys. We also have a smaller courtyard that will provide a more quiet setting for outside play.
